Jennifer C. Girón, Ph.D

Jennifer at the NSRL

Jennifer was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Smith lab between August 2020 and July 2022. Her work involved the creation and management of the Coleoptera Anatomy Ontology.

She specializes in morphology, taxonomy and systematics of Neotropical broad-nosed weevils (Curculionidae: Entiminae) and water scavenger beetles in the subfamily Acidocerinae (Hydrophilidae).

She’s now the Curator of the Invertebrate Zoology Collection at the Natural Science Research Laboratory (NSRL), Museum of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX.
